About This Training Module
The Educational Equity Institute thought it was very important, as we work to promote racial equity in education, that we have a shared language of different terms. We know that certain terms are used interchangeably, such as race and ethnicity, but we wanted to be very explicit in what those terms mean. So, let’s dive into developing a shared language to discuss race and racism.
Participant Outcomes
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between the four levels of racism.
- Discuss the difference between being culturally aware, culturally competent, and culturally responsive.
